Notes
Classic mid 20th century Lyons advertising sign which would have been placed outside grocers, tea rooms & cafes and sweet shops from the 1930s to 1950s. The shaped bottom edge (like a shield point) gave it more visual interest than a simple rectangle and the geometric symbol at the bottom (a diamond-like outline) was the dominant Lyons’ branding at the time
Condition Good with some rust patches and minor enamel loss, but colour and lettering are still very strong
