Notes
“Players Please” was introduced in 1937 and became one of the most famous UK tobacco advertising slogans ever and was used well into the 1950s. This sign most was like to have been a tobacconist fascia or shopfront strip sign.
Condition Strong gloss and legible text but noticeable enamel loss and corrosion on the right-hand side, especially around the word “HERE”. Otherwise usual edge wear and some rusting at fixing points.
