Notes
An enamel post box aperture plate / letter box cover during the reign of King George VI (1936–1952). This would have been fitted to the front of a cast-iron roadside or wall-mounted letter box, covering the posting slot. It served both a practical role (protecting the slot edges) and informational (warning people not to post money or jewellery).
Condition This example has authentic age wear (rust around bolt holes, enamel loss, fading) but remains legible and original
